Lodged by Robert Frost
The rain to the wind said,
'You push and I'll pelt.'
They so smote the garden bed
that the flowers actually knelt,
and lay lodged--though not dead.
I know how the flowers felt.

Excellent post, Marion, and I love the photo of you!! Perhaps someday our paths will cross again when I'm down that way visiting my daughter and SIL.
Check out Learning to Speak God from Scratch by Jonathan Merritt. As a "word person", I think you would love it. He has a chapter about pain that is really good. I'm still working my way through it (slowly to savor it), but it may rank as the best book of the year for me.
Thanks, Kelly! I'll look for the book, for sure. It sounds fabulous & I trust your taste in books. We had so much fun meeting in Natchitoches. I treasure my photos of our Pammie now that she's in heaven. I appreciate you, my friend. xo
