We had an amazing Thanksgiving with Mama and all of my sisters and brother and their families. I think we had over 30 people, some we hadn't seen in many years. I'm grateful for my crazybeautiful family. I had so many hugs, I got hug-drunk. I hope your Thanksgiving was as fun as mine. Today, I'm grateful for the warm sunshine and you.

I'm glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. :)
I would have missed Debbie if you hadn't mentioned her. She's well camouflaged!
Nice post. Definitely true about the cats.
i like the Edith Södergran quote: "I don't create poetry, I create myself, for me my poems are a way to me." it's interesting. and true:)
and the Faulkner quote as well. how clever.
I see you amongst all those people, marion (and your cats) and know you are home.

Maybe cats can adjust their weight... light as a feather for clouds and heavy as lead when they walk across your chest at four in the morning, hungry and wanting you to wake up. Mine seems to have this ability anyway.
I have found gratitude creates more space in my heart and more air in my lungs and takes such a weight off the shoulders and is generally such a wonderful blessing in my life. And I'm grateful for your beautiful blog, as always. The poems always brighten my day.
I loved that photo of the open window... how great.
