  1. I miss Calvin and Hobbes. When that strip and The Far Side retired, it left a real void. (though there are several others I love that are still around)

I can't see a dragonfly without thinking of you, my friend.

  2. How are you today, Marion? A little less pain, hopefully.

  3. I know, Kelly! I have all the Calvin and Hobbes' books and pick them up often. You are so sweet. Thanks for being such a great friend. I hope you're doing okay. I love & appreciate you, my friend! xo

Philip, it's still a painful, depressing uphill battle. My knee is still bending at only 80 degrees and, due to being pushed, painfully, at physical therapy, I'm having constant burning pain around my kneecap...My surgeon wants to do a "manipulation under anesthesia" to push the bending even further. I read that this procedure is often unsuccessful and can cause severe pain afterward, so I'm against it. I don't understand the impatience of the surgeon. So that's where I stand...Ha! Thanks for asking. I appreciate your concern & friendship! xo

  4. Back in my schooldays l had a multiple fracture of my right wrist. Had to be re-broken 5 times to get it right. I had to have mechanical manipulation, under gas, and it was very painful, but it DID work. It's just to stop the fracture seizing up, and with a knee joint it could be imperative if lesser physio is not working. I do so hope you have better news next week. Best wishes, Philip.
