Ponder This:

". . . and my day, which nothing interrupts, is like a clock-face without hands. . ."  Rainer Maria Rilke, from "The Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge".

"Clocks slay time... time is dead as long as it is being clicked off by little wheels; only when the clock stops does time come to life."  ~William Faulkner

Read Rilke.  He never disappoints.

  1. i'm not quite sure what rilke was as he was so able ... uncannily able to put into words the unsayable.

  2. I know, Erin. Every single time I read him, I find new things to ponder, as if someone snuck into my house and added paragraphs and poems while I was asleep. He had a remarkable gift with words. xo
