Ray said he bought a Jimi Hendrix CD & I replied that I had that entire album memorized because my older sister played it so much (along with all the albums you mentioned). Then it dawned on me that that's where my love of poetry came from: song lyrics. I'd never put the two together before. Your sweet daughter is just beginning her journey...how exciting!!! Thanks for sharing. I love & appreciate you & your writing/photography always, always, always feeds my hungry spirit. xoxoMarionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14786883679294446945noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4356162479428337180.post-87496908740250469532015-03-26T14:10:19.744-05:002015-03-26T14:10:19.744-05:00oh god, marion. what a powerful song!)) and how tr...oh god, marion. what a powerful song!)) and how true, how alone we each are. and yet simultaneously we remain connected. it seems impossible or contrary and yet both possibilities exist always at the same time. it's a difficult place to be, i think, human and alone. thank god we know (when we allow ourselves to know) of the connectedness too.

and get this. can you believe? i can't! my daughter, my little scrawny long legged daughter who has bloomed into this thunderous she-creature brought home a stack of records from her father's. they were her grandmother's. she slapped down album after album, the doors, the beatles, pink floyd, janis joplin and simon and garfunkle. i had to try not to smile so big. she is headed for the world, through the world of isolation, headlong into the world of connectedness, if only she'll allow herself.

xo
erinerinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16636371927224076866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4356162479428337180.post-31966763963800774472015-03-25T13:14:41.781-05:002015-03-25T13:14:41.781-05:00Thanks for stopping by and chatting, Kelly & m...Thanks for stopping by and chatting, Kelly & my Annie. Hello darkness. Depression is a lonely business because in it we tend to isolate. Such a bitch. But the fight must go on :) Thanks for posting this dear friend.
